Hi, all:
Is there a way to shorten the account names on the Android version of GnuCash
(similar to the "Only display lead account names" preference on the desktop
version)?
Please advise. . . thanks!-- Fred

Hi - for some reason, recently whenever I open gnu cash, all the dialogue boxes
open with the bottom buttons barely visible and unusable until I drag the box
sides to make each one bigger. This is extremely inconvenient and annoying.
Anyone have an idea as to what I did to make this happen
How can I manage Inventory, physical inventory count in GnuCash
Thanks

Basically, GnuCash cannot handle inventory.
It may be possible to create a fictitious commodity and assign a value to
it, but You cannot do any of the usual inventory functions such as tracking
locations, etc.

That is good to know.
I try not to have the accounts exist in my books ;)

I figure they are bound to crop up, so leave them where I can watch
them. I keep them empty. A quick check shows me areas needing work!

We have no clue.
You can do your inventory ‘accounting’ in GnuCash, but not inventory
‘counting’. For that, you need a separate app that manages the inventory and
gives you the accounting transactions you can import into GnuCash.

Just a heads-up that the 'Download Latest Version' button on
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnucash/files/gnucash%20(stable)/3.6/
is still pointing to the Mac version of 3.5-1

I’ve seen that before. There is a reason for it, but I don’t recall what it is.
(I’m presuming you’re referencing the big green ‘Download’ button)
You can still get to the current version using the Files tab and clicking on
the file directly.

Indeed, the link behind that button reports correctly now.
Thanks!
