Your posts (especially the last) are extremely useful to understand GnuCash
behaviour and how to use attachments to transaction. Since you have gone
through this process, would you perhaps comment on the following:
1) Do you have a sample snippet where I can see what

A recent thread drew my attention to the Jump button, which I hadn’t previously
used, and I realise I’ve been doing things the hard way!

in vain to set up Cmd-J as an accelerator key for Jump.

I have gnucash 3.5 in Windows 8 and version 2.6 in Mint. I have been
trying to install version 3.5 in Mint also with no luck. Can some one
help me to install the 3.5 in mint also.

Since 3.5 is not supplied in any disto repositories yet, you’ll need to build
it from source. It isn’t terribly difficult and the wiki instructions are very
thorough.

Note that 3.6 was just released. You’ll probably want to build that instead of
3.5.
If you run into any errors, report them here with as much info as possible and
someone should be able to help you through it.

With regards to reports, the balsheet-pnl means that finally balance sheet
and income statements can be reported across unlimited multiple dates. Some
assumptions have been made for foreign currency conversions, and values not
all confirmed correct.
