accounts that I've not used before do not show in the budget view. Would
someone please tell me how to include them? For example, in my current
flat, I do not pay a "council tax", so I've not made any entries under

I downloaded Gnucash-Intel-3.0-1.dmg. I open the package with disc mounter with
no issue.
When I try to open the application it never opens up and the dialog box
disappears.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

As David T mentioned earlier the .gnucash file is compressed and it has to
be saved in uncompressed XML format first. To do that click on Edit >
Preferences >General and uncheck Compress File then File > Save As..
