Yes, I admit, I’m guilty in many cases of long-winded explanations and examples
rather than simply referencing the docs.
I have done that a few times, especially where I recall a recent thread on the
same subject. I think overall, referencing docs is preferable.

Given that the dev team has discussed documentation formats since at
least 2013 (cf. https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=722016), I
wouldn't expect a rapid transition to some other format just because
someone comes up with a fancy new tool.
