then that QIF imports are broken in release 5.10.
The recommended work-around is to revert to release 5.9 or wait for release
5.11

I’ve been using GNUcash quite a while. Things have been fine on v4.10.1. I
noticed v5 yesterday and downloaded the latest stable v5.10 on a second
machine. Import a QIF (about 200 transactions) and ran into a weird problem.
