Create a “Pre-paid Expenses” asset account.
Enter a transaction on January 1 as follows:
Dr. Pre-paid Expenses $45
Cr. Bank Account$45
Then on January 31:
Dr. Expenses:Subscription $13
Cr. Pre-paid Expenses $13
