Then GnuCash is doing exactly what you told it to. Your automatic decimal point
setting means that unless you supply a decimal point one is inserted for you:
100 becomes 1,00 and 1 becomes 0,01. You've told GnuCash that the stock
doesn't have fractions, so fractional amounts are rounded using
Hi John,
What did you set for the stock's smallest fraction traded in the security
editor?
1/1
Do you have Automatic decimal point set in Preferences>Numbers, Date, Time?

Ok, there definitely something strange with how GNC auto calculate.
after i force the correct price / shares & the total value. it
automatically correct the shares qty.
that is 1 way to fixed it. but i think there is a bug in the auto
calculation. can this be reported as bugs ?

I forced the number, but it seems gnucash doesn't recognise 29.400 pcs of
stock, only recognised 294 lot of stock with price of 33.800, which i think
is strange. or is this the proper way to record ?

How to properly entered a stock ?
i purchase an odd number of stock
i.e. 294 Lof (1 lot = 100) with the price of 338 IDR with value
of 9.937.200 IDR .
So i entered as such
Shares = 29400,00
Price = 338,00
Value (Debit) = 0; i let GNC calculate auto
