As has been noted, in the lower-right corner by the progress bar there
is a vanishingly quick display of a message that flies by in a small
fraction of a second and appears to display in a very small font. In
other words, not terribly useful. I wonder if the fleeting message is

(I have set my phone on slo-mo-record, that works.

In the past there was a progress bar in the lower right of the window. It
was vastly sped up in the 4 series. The last time I did a Check and
Repair, I repeated it a few times in order to catch it. It may be so fast
now that the progress bar is meaningless.

Just so we are all on the same page here, what operating system and

There is some visual feedback when using 'Check and repair' on the status
bar bottom right, but blink and you will likely miss it.

no errors' or a list of corrected errors, if any.
Feedback is important.

necessary adjustments to your file when things change internally from
version to version. (for example, one version long ago, changed how time
stamps were internally recorded, but nothing changed visibly to the
user) Sometim
ISTR that the feature runs silently, and that in recent versions it runs rather
quickly, such that the user doesn't even see any action. I agree it would be
nice to have some concluding pop-up for informational purposes.

I don't know whether the observed behavior (no feedback to user) is a bug
or that the Check and Repair function is supposed to operate silently. I am
hoping someone can clarify that. If I'm supposed to be getting some kind of
report but I didn't get feedback, then it would seem to be a bug that I

Please remember
I've been having some reconciliation issues and thought the "check &
repair" function might identify any possible problems.
When I called that function from the "Actions" menu, nothing happened. Or
at least, there was no indication visible onscreen that the account's
transactions were being checke
