I haven't had to deal with the workaround since I changed graphics card,
but you should be able to modify the application launcher with the
appropriate command or create a desktop launcher to do the same.

I just upgraded my workstation to Debian trixie, which comes with
GnuCash 5.10. Everything works except the reports. They are blank, both
stock reports and saved custom reports. It is possible to edit them and
save the edits, but there is nothing to show for it but an empty screen.

It’s not Gt,, it’s Nvidia itself. They published a set of broken Linux drivers
in spring 2023 and unfortunately distros haven’t done a good job of clearing
them out.

Ah, nVidia -- a video chipset that *I* find loathsome, and intend to avoid.
It was the motherboard chipset on my recently deceased AMD motherboard --

Two questions:

I think the problem started in a later version of the GTK - it manifests

Check out this archive post re blank reports on Debian, considering we're
up to version 5.9 of Gnucash you might want to consider using the Flatpak
version instead details at - https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Flatpak

Hi Scott,
I am running a flatpak version and so launching through that. I added a

Dear all,
I had a problem of reports being blank after switching from Ubuntu to Linux

Nvidia driver from version 535 to version 470. I found this fix online, and it
worked. But starting a few weeks ago reports were su

If you think it's theme related; naming the theme might help. Also, to me, the
theme you choose is beyond the GnuCash scope.
And you don't explicitly say, but it appears you're running GnuCash 5.5 on
Fedora 39, based on the package name.
As I happen to have Fedora 39 running here, I hav

When I access remotely with a different windows manager, it's fine.
Also, when I print the report, the PDF is fine.
But ANY reports from this particular Fedora desktop, while inside

On and off for a while, I would get blank reports(easy invoice, etc) to
where you couldn't see anything, but if you printed, or printed to PDF,
it looked fine.
Rebooting the computer seemed to fix that, but now I can't make it go
away.
Any ideas?
