I'm not sure why you think the TXF report "needs help."
Gnucash knows the current date (I assume you mean in the register) because that
portion of the software is set to use your computer's date. Many reports,
however, are defined to use the accounting period *you choose*

It shows all accounts of types Asset, Liability, and Equity. It includes
a virtual account for the net

I am trying to import CSV transactions that I have previously exported from
GnuCash. In the import dialog I have to match columns with field names like
Date, Description, Amount, etc. I have done this before with CSV files from
another source, and that worked fine.
In this case, matching is a

The question you *should* be asking is "What information exactly are you
looking for in your reports?" rather than the OS and GC version.
Gnucash has *always* (well, at least since I started using it in 2006) had
issues with its reporting modules. The mechanisms are n
increase in your investment (debit an asset) and a credit
to your liabilities (the CC)

turned on computer this morning and go to gnucash in linux mint
cinnamon, and i get this:
bbbsiaccounting is no longer a file under Gnucash in linux
If i click open anyway, i do get there, but that is probably not the
proper way to do it.
For
I think Larry did not change the Windows Locale setting of his PC,
rather he changed the GnuCash "Default Currency" setting from "Locale"
(which was USD) to "Choose" (where he chose CAD). So I don't think there
is any need to reboot.
