In my (business) account hierarchy, all Expenses are listed as positive
numbers (in black). However, the Expense category Licenses and Permits
is displayed as a negative number (in red). In the list of
transactions, the amount column is labeled Expenses for all
ot;. Hopefully, it is the same in "Sales".

GC ver 4.4, Mac OS 10.15.7.
By default, the items in Sales are sorted by date (old to new). I
realize that's sensible, but it's easier for me to find something when I
change the sort order to Number. However, GC does not save the NUM sort
after closing the application. Could it be otherwise?
have so kindly provided.

These funds are not included in a P&L report for 2021, apparently
because the report is based on date of invoice issue, or have I missed
something.
Is it possible to get the 2020 Sales that were paid in 2021 into the

because -9X probably is fully inside the circle and not being included in
the counting.
Have you tried a P&L report?

Play with the Layout tab in Options for the Invoice Report. There is
also a custom CSS box available if you want to dig that far.

Hello,
I upgraded Gnucash from ver 3.2 to 4.4 (Mac OS 10.15). My custom
invoice layout changed. Particularly, the Client information, which was
flush with the left margin, is now moved much toward the center.
Business information is OK.
It is a trivial issue, but can the Client information
