I am using GnuCash Version 5.10 with F::Q 1.64 on Windows 11. The QIF import seems to go all the way through until it gets to transferring the data to the account when it does not load anything. I have now tried it on two different files from two different providers and it does the same on each.

There may be technical accounting reasons to treat rebates as offsets to expenses rather than income. But my own reasons are simply that it's what makes sense to me. I don't really track income very carefully. I mainly track expenses. A rebate is a complex form of discount where the vendor is
