The amount owed stays in AR.
Who owes it is what changes.
How you do that is not specific to GnuCash.
You will likely have to employ intermediary accounts, but what those
should be, are up to you and your needs/requirements. Perhaps ask a
local CPA.

You use Edit > Stylesheets.
Alter the one you want.
When you run the report, select that stylesheet in Options.
There may not be a way to adjust that column easily. You'll have to poke
around to find out or craft a careful CSS rule using the Experimental
stylesheet.

Hi Andrew,
Many thanks for coming back.
I think perhaps that in an attempt at brevity, I assumed too much in my
example and perhaps wasn't as clear as I might have been. There are
three entities in my example, but in yours there are 5. Perhaps the
confusion arises because the 'I' in my exam
How do I navigate to the correct style sheet to edit it?

I generally stay up to date, but with the original 5.4 release leaving
processes running in Windows, I've stayed at 5.3. I fully expect to move to
5.5 when it comes out (I usually also monitor this list for a while to see
if there are any unpleasant bugs in the new release before I update).

I haven't tried to change column widths. I expect that you may need to edit
the Style Sheets, but I have not attempted to do so.

David R: Clever observation. I think that in this case
1425 appears because there are two different credit cards
using the same parent account and those transactions were charged with the
card ending in 1425. However, the card used information did not get posted
in GnuCash. I think the importer pr

I think your problem arises from there being multiple flags. The main
data stream is coming from 8320, but each of the
transactions within that account has 1425 within the
transaction. So each of the transactions is a transfer from one credit card
account to another. I’m guessing that the OFX

Common advice is that your emergency savings account should hold enough to

Thank you, Adrien.
I understand. I know who needs to get 1099s from me. I think I can use
GnuCash to get the info I need relatively easily. I was just searching
for others' advice & experience.
Gratefully,

Thanks, Andrew. I used 5.4 yesterday with no glitches. Happy with it so far.

Minty fresh bugs! I like the sound of that; maybe let Bill Gates in on the
conversation - who knows where that will lead.
Minty Bugs for all - delicious!

David,
Going from memory here, but don't the importers require the FITID to be
unique and not imported previously ? Any chance your bank is duplicating
these and Gnucash assumes the txns were already processed ?
