Yeah, I know there's a good likelihood that it isn't supported but I figured with all the CSS support maybe I'd get lucky and there was support for attribute selection like there is in regular browser CSS. But then that's a GTK ask and not necessarily a GnuCash ask. The general thought if such

So far no developer has replied to this thread, so we do not know if there are any 'hooks' under the hood to hang this request on, or if it would require substantial development work to implement. One path forward would be to create an Enhancement Request Bug Report in the GnuCash Bugzilla https:/

No, I don't like the loan wizard. I already tried it and I still need to flag the transactions to find them later in the register so I can fix the splits correctly. The wizard doesn't save me any time. Why not point to the loan wizard and how it can setup an automated transaction schedule?

No, actually I know exactly what I want to accomplish and the colored field to make the particular transaction stand out in the register is precisely what I want to do. That's how I work. I already have the splits set up exactly they way they need to be. I just don't have the specific amount

John, What exactly were the commands you ran to build GnuCash and the directories they were run from. The other useful information is the location of the directories containing the source code and where the build directory is located realtive to the source code directories. If ninja does not build

What I mean is that variations from paycheck to paycheck result in changes in the amount going into my checking account. When I adjust that amount, the transaction no longer balances, and gnucash puts the difference into Imbalance-USD. Original Message From: Michael or Penny

I've been using flatpak 4.8-1 on ubuntu, but it has some glitches in the GUI selection of check boxes on an invoice such as taxable, tax included, tax table. To get those to be changed takes mousing and clicking several places in the line item or it just reverts when I go to the next line.

I think that it would be possible to use the loan wizard to build a Scheduled loan payment Transaction pointing to an Unallocated Funds account that could be used just as Michael suggested, adjusting for the correct interest amount when the value is known. I need to try that. On Thu, Dec 16, 2021

Michael, That is a method that I would never have thought of, probably because I am not an accountant. I like it better than my current method that just uses guesstimates in the SX. It does add an account to contain the unallocated funds, but that is the trade-off to keeping guesstimate out of
