[GNC] Income statement with transactions

I am trying to get a report similar to the Income Statement (Revenues and expenses, with subtotals by account), but with transactions instead of just the summary for each account. I went with the Transactions Report and got pretty close with the following : account name as primary key and date

That 'extra' line is only visible when the highlight is in the space reserved for entering a new transaction in any register, not just security accounts, and only when the display view is set to Auto-spllt or Transaction Journal. As implied in John's reply, that line represents the space for the f

I can't speak to 3.11 because I've long moved on, but on 4.2, this issue doesn't appear to exist. I just ran this chart and for example, my Gifts account which has multiple transactions this month shows the same total as my Income Statement (P&L). This was using the default options. Regards
