Is this a one time chore. I don't know about doing it on the Gnucash side, but
it seems relatively easy to do in in a spreadsheet.
Insert a column for numbering the rows.
Duplicate all the rows as a block, i.e. with the second copy of all the rows
following the first block

Hi,
I've been scratching my head on how to do this for a significant time so
hoping someone can help...
I have transactions that I have downloaded from a site, and that I would
like to import into gnucash using a csv.
Each transaction is a row and in columns I have a total credit, balanced by

I'm not aware of any church that has a membership fee, and I'd be
amazed to learn of one. In the case of tithing (which is expected in
only a very small minority of churches) I imagine it would be cast as
a donation, and not as membership.
Our common law holds a membership fee to be contract

I'm also a charity treasurer in the UK (tho I think officially I'm called

for the charity finances, but the Gift Aid thing is a significant hurdle to
clear.

Just me venting some long frustration along these lines.
We put in the effort to add UPS and in my case a stand by generator that runs
off natural gas. This combination has never failed to keep my systems powered

Yes, almost any donation to any charity (or community amateur sports club)
is eligible, and it would be unheard of for a church not to qualify as a
charity. (Perhaps not so unheard of for them not to register as such with
the tax authorities, as it's a lot of faff - as this thread makes clear.)

What you can claim
Your GASDS claim cannot be more than 10 times your Gift Aid claim. For example,
you can claim on £1,000 worth of donations through GASDS if you’ve received
£100 of Gift Aid donations in the same tax year.
You can claim on donations that are eligible for Gift Aid, but not me

Ah yes, good catch: I hadn't reckoned with more than a small proportion of
donations coming across the plate.

I've been using a Perl module
Well, this clearly didn't make it out before my UPS died.
Power has been restored and services should be running normally again.
Please let me know if you notice anything not working.
Note to self, the UPS lasted a bit over 4 hours.
This is the first significant power outage we've had in 3 years,

Hi,
Power is out here due to Tropical Storm Zeta.
The UPS is down to 30%.
So I am going to cleanly shut down the gnucash server shortly which will
take down email, wiki, git..
I will restart it ASAP when power is restored.
