Although locating the file proved difficult for me (a matter unrelated to
GnuCash 😊), that was not my issue. After installing v3.1, I was able to
import files. Before the upgrade, the Import "box" was blank/empty.
Thank you for help.

The upgrade fixed the issue. Since I just got GnuCash, I thought I had the
most recent version. A good lesson for me. Thank you.

Keith,
The SQL backends are having a few issues at the moment. It would be a good idea
to search the list here and also to look over the bug reports on Bugzilla.

The first workaround is to get version 3.1. I think the ofx import showing no

I've tried importing .qfx files from downloads from two different banks:
Chase and USAA. No files are showing up on the Generic import transaction

Why is GnuCash not importing .qfx files in Version: 3.0. Build ID: git 3.0+

Sure. But I was hoping some sort of general guidelines might exist.

Hi.
When I'm trying to use "Future Scheduled Transactions Summary" report it shows
old expenses values.
I mean values which were used in the past, but aren't anymore scheduled like
that.
Could you help me?

I just started using GNUCASh and tried to use BMO Nesbitburns,CA as the quote
source to obtain canadian stock quotes. I tried using the syntax symbok, a
comma, then type. EG BMO,T but it does not work.
Did things changed between 2013 and today?

Was this the order of operations?
#1 Upgrade/Install new OS version
#2 Restore backup
#3 Install new version of GnuCash
If #2 happened before #3, perhaps the GnuCash install is overwriting the

Since Firefox stores user prefs in $HOME/.mozilla, I’d be surprised if .gnucash
didn’t get backed up also, unless the OP used a custom command and .mozilla was
specifically included and .gnucash wasn’t.
But if this were some sort of backup app and it was set to backup hidden files,

Fedora version 28 installs Gnucash 3.0.1.something if you use the
version in the Fedora 28 repository. Not sure which version is in the
Fedora 27 repo, but I'll wager it's one of the 2.XX releases.

As a long time Linux user and having used GnuCash for several years I

I am not an expert on Linux, so do not quote me here. I think that GnuCash
puts the settings in a hidden folder under your user directory. Does your
backup program also back up the hidden folders?

Actually, I've reverted to a slightly older file and worked my way back from
there. Everything seems OK. Thanks very much for all your help.
