So, I went back to bug 645273, and I'd have to say that it describes a
different problem altogether. That problem dealt with reports not rendering in
Windows. The implication in all of the comments there is that program was
functioning but not producing data. That's different from the program ha

doncram,
Actually, if you look carefully at the bottom of the splash screen (if you
have not disabled it) when the program is loading, there is a message
there. That will show when processing reports that were left open when the
file was last closed.
As for opening new reports, I cannot comment a

David,
According Quicken online help you can still export to QIF format per

Stan,
I am sorry that your experience with GnuCash has not been favorable.
I suspect that you may not have gotten the correct release of 2.6.19 for
windows as I think there was a glitch early on that caused the crashing

You need to export the data and categories in wife format. I went through this

Stan -- I am using 2.6.19 on 64-bit Windows 10. While the reporting module
is indeed very slow (bug report already out there was this) and while it
does say "Not Responding", eventually the report does come up (after about
60-90 seconds).
I agree that it may be way too long -- but it does techn
David -- I believe the exportable format of quicken is readable by Gnucash
as a QIF file (import). I could be mistaken - but I believe that is what I
used when I coverted almost 20 years of Quicken data to GnuCash.
Two things to remember -- if you do the import into Gnucash and it does not

If you're going to the trouble, it might be nice to enable subtotals
within a report. We use a report that shows all the income each year
from about 20-30 vendors. It would be nice to show subtotals by vendor
as well as the grand total for the year.

Adrien, that was it.I exported the accounts to a CSV. Edited the file, removed
all accounts but the one I wanted to duplicate. Edited those account lines with
the new name and imported back into GNUCash. BAM! Just what I was after. :)
Thanks much!Steve

I forgot to mention another current option. It's not quite what you're

Yes it is. Unfortunately, those reports do not have the option of breaking
down the year into monthly and/or quarterly columns as sub-reports. You
would have to create this report from scratch which is not at present, a

Sorry about that.

Thanks a lot, John, for the prompt action!
I installed the latest weekly build assuming that would be the latest
maintenance version. Basically, this means I could safely rely on
GitHub Releases page for the stable updates.
