Frank,
Like the other David, on the other thread, it has been a while since I imported
from Quicken. When I did, I was able to bring in everything in one huge pass.
Gnucash properly created the many accounts and captured most of the transfers
as well.
Are you exporting each account from Quick
I thought I had the importing figured out, but no...
I exported my quicken data to qif format. When I import it into GC I get a lot
of double entries. Quicken uses catagories, GC uses accounts... How do I
import my cash accounts without getting all the duplicates.

That's what I'd try to start with.

Frank,
Please reply to all so it goes to the list where others can see it and help.
It has been several years since I did my major import via QIF and now I
almost never use that format so I have lost track of the details of how
matching is accomplished in that importer.

I had no problem with version 16 and transaction report. Gnucash was
loading without delay.
With version 17 there was a very long delay. Gnucash was stuck for 36
seconds for loading two transaction reports. I return to version 16 and
no more delay.
With version 18 I get the same problem. Gnuca
Locale seems indeed to have changed as, with the latest version of GC,
most everything turns up automatically in French (based on my IP or
something). With the version I was using before you had to vset the
locale by hand if you wanted it different from US (which I had not done).

I don't know how you scored an Arris modem with static IPs (I have the

Hello list from a newb.
GC is running fine for me on my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.12.6).
I installed v 2.6.18 and tried to run on my iMac (Retina 5k, late 2015
model running OS X 10.12.6), and while the program launches just fine,
it won't register any mouse clicks of any kind. In fact, I have
Hi,
In my ongoing effort to debug my network issues, I need to add a new
network card to the VM host that runs code.gnucash.org (among other
VMs). This will involve some downtime as I install and configure
the new card in the machine.
The card is due to arrive sometime tomorrow (Saturday, Oct 7)

The issue is that the SX stores as a text string, not a number. I

Well, if I unplug or otherwise disable the VM server then the problem
goes away. Similarly, if I shutdown two of the VMs (the two that

Somehow, though, the scheduled transactions seem to be using '.' for the
decimal separator (from the error message). Perhaps if you re-write the
values in the scheduled transactions, the problem will be fixed.
