it's a very hard job to install gnucash! I have used the SuSE-rpm-File
from Stephan and was very happy when I have solved all the dependences
(I hope so!). The last topic was slib. Then I have started gnucash and
I got the following message:

in the attached gif-File you will see an addition fault in "Saldo" -
3rd line. It has to be 8.446,81 and not 5.265,00.
I have this kind of error the second time (of course with other

I have installed gnucash 1.4.1 with the rpm-File (I use SuSE 6.4) The
installation was OK (I have got no message), but when I try to run
gnucash I get a message about missing libguile.so.4 (I have installed
libguile.so.6) and later libreadline.so.3 ( I have installed

now I am using gnucash 1.4.2, I have compiled from gnucash-1.4.2.tar.gz
(without any problem, after I have installed successful with your help
the SuSE-RPM-file - 1.4.0).
But now I have the next problem.
I would like to save the gnucash-files (.log, .xac) in a special
directory and not in /hom
