Hi guy's,
I have just updated my git tree to the latest updates and was able to
compile the recent changes but the program will not run, it stops at
startup with a date exception with the following in gdb...

Hi Dave,
yes, 1.5.5 will import your accounts and transaction just fine because it

Your experience is quite similar to mine described elsewhere in this

Hi Ngewi,
Have installed the latest beta and there is apparently no change in the app
behaviour - still the white screen with the header and then just the black
screen [?]
Cheers Dave H.

Followup to my previous message, I left the black screen where it was and
went and had breakfast, came back an hour later and it seems to have opened
the file OK. Now in trying to navigate around the app it's gone back to the
black screen showing nothing, so just extremely slow which means it's

Hmm, that's not good. At least if it crashed I will get crash logs. This way
it's hard to debug. But I'll keep trying to find out what the cause is.
One guess would be that it has to do with the database upgrade so it gets stuck
in some state.

tablet also running Android 4.4.2.
I have now got the latest beta working and opening my normal file on both
devices - I completely uninstalled, restarted the devices, reinstalled and
opened the usual gnucash file - voila ab
