They should be the same size as it's the same binary that gets uploaded.
When I download both of them today, they actually are:
ls -s gnucash-5.0.setup*)
147504 'gnucash-5.0.setup(1).exe'
147504 gnucash-5.0.setup.exe
The first one is downloaded from sourceforge, the other from github.

Is it normal that the SourceForge download of the Windows setup executable is
8.5MB larger (152.59MB) than the github version (144.04MB) of the same thing? I
can't really think of a legitimate reason.
