Bitcoin as a currency to be included in gnucash?

I'm not trying to start a debate as to whether bitcoin is a true currency or a pseudo-currency, but would it be possible to include bitcoin as a currency in a future release? I find that I now have earned some bitcoins, but there is no option in gnucash to include this asset. Just a suggestion. A
