The best place to get the Mac binary is via Fink. If you don't already
have Fink installed,
As can be seen in the make output included in my original post, I am
using gcc. I found out early on that I would get nowhere trying to
use Sun's compiler.
=>uname -mrs
SunOS 5.9 sun4u

The problem persisted after changing "static inline" to G_INLINE_FUNC.
Only changing "inline" to "__inline__" removed the problem.
Yours was the only reply I got.

Well it has been a long time since I have been anywhere near active on
this list and for that I appologize. Life, as often happens, has
gotten in the way. Now that things are calming down a bit however, I
