John,
As you may have noticed, gnucash is getting close to a 1.4
release. It would be good to have 1.4 packaged virtually with its
release. I can do the work of preparing the release, and Tyson or
yourself could sponsor the upload, but it would be a waste of time
redoing things that you

I've recently converted to using GnuCash full time :) I've
be following the development releases since 1.3.6.
You're all doing a great job. I don't think I've had any
crashes while using GnuCash. I've got all my financial
data since sometime in 1994 in many accounts. My total,
compressed data

here's a little buglet in the current cvs version:
under certain cases, the resgister doesn't scroll.
-- open some register
-- click on 'create new account'
-- now go back to register. It will not accept any input, nor will
the scroll bar scroll (although it does redraw!)

Hello
I just had a quick question: What is happening with all the files
in the directory that you save your books in? Each time I save, I get a
new set of files in the my saved directory. I am just trying to
understand what is going on and what porpose this is for. Any info on
this or dir

I think the following would make the build more friendly:
1. configure check for libtool
Otherwise upon "make" after a successful "./configure" one can get
cd . && aclocal
aclocal: configure.in: 33: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in library
make: *** [aclocal.m4] Error 1
2. more intelligent
Thanks for your help. I'll update the documentation accordingly.
I'll let Bill deal with your questions about the QIF importer -
that's his baby.

Testing MYMdump is much more convenient now that the QIF importer handles
the combined QIF format.
GnuCash appears to import the output from mymdump correctly, but my sheets
with the correct balances for my only large dataset are unfortunately
not handy now, so I cannot verify the results.
