"ALT+Left mouse" issues

Hi I have been enjoying the progress of gnome-shell and am currently running it by default instead of metacity. For some reason I can not use "ALT+Left mouse" to move windows (likewise for resizing) and when I press the keyboard combination that I defined for opening a terminal, I get a window te

Can't launch anything

When I try to launch an application or document from Gnome Shell it doesn't work. The mouse cursor is spinning for a while but nothing happens. No error message on the log. The AppInfo object seems to be correct (right commandline etc.) and 'appInfo.launch_uris(...)' in 'docInfo.js' returns 'true'
