The following works for me.
You can add a desktop file to your local applications directory.
Create a file "similar" to the following flashback.desktop:
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
NoDisplay=false
Type=Application
Terminal=true
Icon=/home/bogwan/.local/icons/media-record-5.png
Name=F
Hi all. Using Gnome3, Ubuntu base, 64-bit.
I love the ability to press the Windows key and get my panel of
applications. One app is started my clicking on a shell script in the
Downloads directory. Is there some way for me to add this to my left
panel so that I can get to it more easily?
