Hello!
I never use my internal laptop speakers as I have external ones. Due to
audio quality concerns I want neither the GNOME Shell controls nor the
multimedia keys to go above 100%.
I can understand why some people would want this though. But in case it
is ever implemented I'd like some setting
Gnome Shell 3.6 on Ubuntu 12.10 with tons of extensions, rock solid.

The patch and extension was written for GNOME Shell 3.6.2. If there is
any interest in this I can try to make it work for the Git master as
well.
