aries were dropped. I'm currently attempting to write a script
to recover the translatable strings from the SVN diffs.
Assuming that I can recover the strings, do you suppose it would be
possible to backport this to 2.24?

This is really exceptional and should be "awarded".

Send me what you've got. I'll fix them up. One of them was retouched
a bit by Garrett, so I'll have to try and work out what filter he
applied (it's the System/Desktop one that I

only we could combine both.
I am going to let Bob and Claus finish up with the editing, but I
will understand if at GUADEC, any translators want to come up and
punch me in the face.

Perhaps one of the translators could provide me with a screenshot of a
translated GNOME desktop. Something in a non-Latin script would be
preferred.

In the About dialog, there are now two additional strings. They indicate
whether you're using the HAL backend or the Legacy backend. In previous
versions this was indicated with an untranslated star (to avoid breaking
freeze).

cessarily a
bad thing. The string is not likely to ever be user visible, but if
translators want they can translate it. Hence, the only thing it
will affect is people's 100% ratings. Without being in on the
culture, is this an issue?
Please Advise,

This is a "Known Issue". I'm having some troubles with reproducing
the requested screenshot. I think I'm missing something I need, but
file-roller won't tell me what it is.
I will attempt to get in contact with a file-roller dev ag
I used. I'll update the README later on, or
what I wrote previously also applies.

Everything I use for screenshots is available with the standard Gimp
package. I'm going to try and write down some notes on what I did to
capture each image.
Shouldn't be anything too hard I imagine.
