So rereading this thread, I believe I've been unnecessarily
abrasive, and I've injected my personal opinion of these
changes into what should only be a discussion of whether
we should break the UI freeze. I apologize for that.
Let me try this again.

Hi all,
having just come back from holiday, my dedication went so far as to try
to fix a few last bugs related to translation before the string freeze.
Namely:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=592723
where I changed (in src/brasero-data-disc.c) "Do you really want to
replace \"%s\"? " i

Hi All:
Immediately after releasing Orca v2.27.91 today, I branched Orca for
gnome-2-28. The gnome-2-28 branch will be used for the remainder of the
GNOME 2.28.x cycle and all new work will take place on master.

Ok, time for a little novel...:
First of all: thank you very much, Claude, for making me the team
coordinator for "Low German"! (Makes me kind of proud to receive that
honour! :-)
Second: I would recommend to use the expression "Low German" instead of
"Low Saxon", because "Low German" is, what co

An other thing:
Is it possible to define any other language as fallback for untranslated
strings, so that the user in the example of "Low German" wont get a mix
from low german and english strings, but a mix of low german and modern
german (de) strings in his/her interface?

well, low german itself is understood by 10.000.000 (10 million) people
around the world and there are about 2 million native speakers! :-)
as you can see here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low_German

and it is part of the european language charta

Feel free to start a language team if your language really exists.
You will need a glibc locale though if I remember correctly.

*Hej,*
thats right, there is not "the" Low German, because there are many
little differences between the regions of Northern Germany.
I am absolutely ok with the use of the language codename "nds"! I was
just about to suggesting that there are more than one entries for the
same real language! The

GNOME speaking \"Basst scho\" instead of \"O.K.\" :D
I haven\'t yet done any translation via damned-lies (I
prefer poedit for my apps),
but got a git-account, as I\'m beeing a module-maintainer.

I have seen, that the language "Low Saxon, Germany" and "Low German"
referr to the same language index. (namely http://l10n.gnome.org/teams/nds)

*Dear members of the list,*
my name is Nils-Christoph Fiedler, I am translating GNOME into "Low
German" for some weeks now.
I have the problem, that I can not reach the "Low German" team
coordinator Jürgen Lüters. (I have tried out several email adresses now.)
A few days ago I got in contact with
