Hi,
After reading the last messages of the thread an idea come in my mind.
Since gnopernicus/orca can discover the structure of documents, web
pages and windows, this can inform parts of the screen that the filter
must be applied. Only to illustrate this idea, think in a web page that

Hi,
I branched gnome-mag to gnome_2_18:
svn checkout svn+ssh://svn.gnome.org/svn/gnome-mag/branches/gnome_2_18
The development will now continue in trunk.
The plans for 2.19 are:
* Have a test suite.
* Make DAMAGE and XFIXES extensions a required dependencie;
* Isolate the X11 dependent code
Hi,
After a reminder from Kjartan I just moved the branch for this new
address:
http://svn.gnome.org/viewcvs/gnome-mag/branches/gnome-2-18/
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Carlos.

I would like to create a D-BUS based magnification API, but since some
radical changes where introduced in the desktop due the X composite
extension, and I'm not involved with the applications that use
gnome-mag API, I would like to hear the community before present
something.

Hi Peter,
After reading lot's of messages (from 2005 to today) about the
Metacity development, I don't think that the GNOME community want to
switch Metacity due all the maintenance that it have and the good
integration that it have with GNOME and I really don't want to start
this discussion again

Hi Aurelian,
I don't know how will be the future of gnome-mag due the introduction
of composited desktop. I will start to work in a way to gnome-mag and
window composite managers to interact. If I get success on this, I
will change the path of how the image is magnified today, to take

Hi,
The currently plan to magnification for GNOME 2.32 (3.0) is to keep
gnome-mag and GS-mag functionality in sync. This include some changes
in the currently D-BUS interface and support to save and restore the
magnifier state from GConf.
Other goal was to remove libbonobo dependence from gnome-m
Hi,
I'm also posting to GNOME Accessibility List because others can also

magnifiers.
GS-mag is a new magnifier being developed inside GnomeShell (GS) as a plugin.
With GNOME 3.0 GS will be the default desktop and compositor.
