timing right but this work so splash is the problem. But as long as
there's a reasonably easy way to get aroun it, I have no problem.

Ok, so I just talked my totally blind buddy through this process.
It's fairly simple and I have reproduced it many times now. Here
is what you are going to need to do to boot the edgy cd without
the splash screen. At least right now that is.
