Hi, Robert and list,
These are the shortcuts I use:
Compiz:
- Windows key + scroll wheel to zoom in/out.
- Windows key + arrow keys to pan image.
GNOME Shell:
- Windows key + Keypad Enter to turn zoom on/off
- Windows key + Keypad Plus and Minus to zoom in/out.
These do not conflict with any oth
aker for me because I use high magnification
and need the magnifier to follow text insertion. Looks like I'm stuck with
Windows again.
Thanks for your replies,
Aurelian Radu

Hello list,
Firstly, I'd like to thank the developers of gnome-mag and orca for the
significant improvements in the area of magnification. The great orca
developers listened to my suggestion and created the option to have the
cursor centered while editing and navigating. Kudoz !
Now I have a few
Hello,
When I use gnome-mag (through orca or alone) CPU load goes to 100% whenever
I move the mouse a little faster. I've experienced this in all distros I've
tried and with many versions of gnome-mag up to 0.14.8. System Monitor shows
that the x and magnifier are the two processes that bring CPU
Hi Peter,
Thank you for your answer.
I was referring to the cursor in applications where you enter text. The
mouse pointer is indeed centered when using the magnifier alone or through
orca. But I need to use orca if I want gnome-mag to follow text editing or
keyboard focus. The cursor is not cen
Hello,
Is there any setting I can change to make gnome-mag keep cursor focus in the
middle of the magnification window, like it does with mouse pointer focus,
not at the right margin? To be more clear, I want to see the characters I'm
typing in the middle of the magnification window, like it used
When
I open a new page and scroll through it, the memory usage increases, because
I think gnome-mag (or maybe gnopernicus?) caches the new images it displays.

Hello, dear list!
This is my first message here and I'm hoping that you can help me (or at least give me some hope for the future).
I'm visually-impaired and I cannot use a computer without a magnifier. That is one of the things that are keeping me on Windows. I use the magnifier that comes wit
