On my running arch linux system with gnome 3.10 I have looked into the file
/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.desktop.a11y.magnifier.gschema.xml
From there I can see the schema org.gnome.desktop.a11y.magnifier has
the following keys:
mouse-tracking
focus-tracking
caret-tracking

What I'm looking for is a feature similar to the hotkey Ctrl+Alt+arrow of
the Windows magnifier. This hotkey scrolls the magnifier in the direction
of the arrow key without changing the position of the mouse pointer.
Is such a feature available in Gnome?
If so, how do I use it?

I'm a low vision user having a magnifier at 6-8x to be able to use a
computer.
Locking mouse, caret and focus tracking into a single mode is not something
that I would appreciate. The best combination of tracking modes depends on
the application you're using.
The combination of setting
According to the magnifier wiki page [1] focus & caret tracknig are in
development. However, related issues referenced by this page [2, 3] are
fixed for some time now. This is a very important feature for me, so I
tried to activate it with gsettings. Unfortunately I'm stuck and I need
some help.
