by helping you tu know what adaptation may be suit for a particular point.
The main source of my difficulties to use new gnome interface is a photophobia

FWIW, have you tried to use the color options at the zoom dialog? You
can set the zoom factor to 1 and set it fullscreen, so it would apply
the color effects on all the screen. This includes some effects about
the inversion, contrast and brightness, that I hope that could help.
