Try asking if your supplier is willing to increase the http timeout. Set
this parameter in the /etc/gitlab/gitlab.rb file:

Hello,
I was given access to a project source code through a supplier of ours.
He gave us access to the source code for us to be able to download and
backup the source code for security and IP purposes.
When trying to download the 3,03 GB large file, it times about around 1 GB.
