The next time GIMP starts, it will create its font cache in
\Users\\.gimp-2.6\fonts\cache and this shouldn't get cleared out
with your temp folder.

Select the "Scale the layer or selection" tool (Shift+T) in the
toolbox, then click the "Transform Selection" button (the pink square)
in the tool options. This allows you to scale a selection using
handles on the corners of the selection.

Has anyone managed to install the above 2 things such that Gimp will

I have been using ver 2.4.5. I downloaded and installed ver 2.6.1. The
line above the tools which contains File, Xtns and Help is missing. I tried
deleting and reloading it several times, but it is still missing. Finally,
I went back to 2.4.5 and it's OK. I thought that maybe there was a com
