GeoTiff which is manageable. I load my GeoTiffs in GIS software
first to save the geo data before editing in GIMP, so I can then
reload it using the data and have my GIS restore the GeoTiff tags.

There are other tutorials for the GAP there also, and mine lists

That should be possible by adding the desired image as the last
frame of the animation, i.e. the top layer of the image.

Thanks. I was turned onto that script and after some digging around
figured out how to get Python scripting into Gimp on the Win XP
platform.

Does anyone know how to keep your screen from blacking out every few minutes. I
would like to make it stay up for an hour or more at a time? How can I do this, or

Is there any other tool that can do this from the commandline? Or some

cript-fu crashes, and then I am kicked completely out of GIMP. Any help here? Also, I love the Script-fu extensions available. What resources are available for loading in more extensions, if any, and what directory do I save them in to be recognized? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I just downloaded and installed Gimp. I was browsing the plugin
repository, and downloaded a couple of plugins, but don't know how to get
them installed - they are just the source files. I am running Windows XP,
and used the installer provided on the Gimp web site from Jernej Simoncic.
Any help
When I look in the folders listed, there .exe files there. the plugin I
downloaded is a .c file - how do I get it from a .c to a .exe? I looked
through the .c file, and it made mention of gimptool-2.0, so maybe I
should be asking where do I get it?
Thanks

I don't mind building it myself, I just don't know what the process to
build is. I downloaded it from http://registry.gimp.org/ - is there some
other place to get the binaries for plugins?
I am using Gimp 2.0.5
Thanks,
Scott

configuration/tools do I need, and what steps to I follow to get the .exe?

Yes - but what do I need to do to build gimp (and by extension the plugin)?

Thanks all !
