Can I change the color depth of a image using Gimp? I scaned a image as greyscale to paint with Gimp. But I can not add color while it is greyscale. Now I want change from greyscale to RGB. Anyone know how do this? PS: Scan again is not a good reply for me Thanks

Let make things more simple to understand. If I draw a %50 opacity white pixel above one black pixel with the pencil it becomes silver. But I want the pixel WHITE AND WITH %50 OF OPACITY. I simply want to change the alpha when I draw and not how much the color change. ___
