you can with GIMP of course resize your image to any size you want
to. You might have a look to http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-image-
scale.html to learn how to scale images.

the answer is: never, because not GIMP is bound in no way to X11, but to the
GTK. A stable GTK is unfortunately for Apples OS X only for an X11 backend
available right now. But may be you can help the GTK project to finish their
work on a native backend for OS X and help this to free GIMP
to transfer to the
clipboard, but Ctrl-V (!) to retrieve it on the (ugly) X11 side.

(libraries) and wrapps them within his own application.
It looks like an interesting approach, but somehow I doubt that this is what
the future of GIMP looks like. GIMP is not designed to be Paint for *ix

To get hands on an unstable version is a bit more complicated. I'm

invert the colors, but to "subtract" the brown color from the film
strip also. I'm not sure, but my first guess would be that this is
not easily done in GIMP.

MacPort portfile. Have you contacted the maintainer of that GIMP MacPort
yet?
btw. there is also GIMP 2.3.16 available on MacPort as port named gimp-dev.

that also works on Leo. It might be x86 only by now, but give the

to update X11? If the answers are yes and no, please go to
