[Gimp-user] Colors

Can I change the color depth of a image using Gimp? I scaned a image as greyscale to paint with Gimp. But I can not add color while it is greyscale. Now I want change from greyscale to RGB. Anyone know how do this? PS: Scan again is not a good reply for me Thanks
