Dear list,
is there any official static builds / backports packaged for Debian
Etch? Openoffice.org 2.3 does a great job there. It was just great to
have Gimp 2.4 with stable Debian [Edu].

layers, one text, one colored page, a fuzzy border and
a clear background. I printed it and loved it. Then I saved it
as an XCF file. Now when I open it in The Gimp, it only has
