I tried to assign Alt+D or Alt+L to the Lens Distortion filter and in both
cases the short cut assignment failed. I was able to assign other Alt
combinations such as Alt+A or Alt+M. Can someone explain why the D and L
attempts failed? Gimp 2.4.3 on a Sun SPARC Solaris 10 system.

sliders. As an example, when I drag the Threshold slider for the Fuzzy
Select tool, I get the following values: 0.0, 4.8, 9.6, 14.4, 19.2, 24.1,
28.9, etc. Similar odd sequences of numbers appear for other tool options

image is rotated, if I then use the mouse to grab the picture and drag
it a bit more in the direction of positive rotation, the image takes a

Make the tool pane wider, and you'll get other values. The slider simply
subdivides the range into the number of steps the slider can make.
