Press Ctrl-Shift-U and enter the Unicode hex value (which is A9 for the
copyright symbol).

This is possible. Well, I use Windows XP, if I press ALT+0169 in a text
editor a © is typed. This do not work in text tool. You need to open a
diferent text editor, write a special char, copy, and paste in text tool.
