[Gimp-user] can't save as XPM

When I try to save as xpm I get an error message: Saving '/home/pkands/Desktop/deer_40.xpm' failed: Plug-In could not save image I'm using 2.05 and the plugin is installed. I've tried saving indexed and un-indexed versions. What am I missing? Can't find any help for this. Thanks. John __

[Gimp-user] color corrections lost when saving file

When I make a change (to a .PNG) using the levels tool and then attempt to save the file as a jpeg, the corrections are lost IF I attempt a compression adjustment. If I just accept whatever the save dialog suggests, no problem. To get around this I have had to save the newly corrected image ,close
