Yep, I hit that as well. I'm running Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) and I "solved" that problem by upgrading dbus to version 1.0.2. That allowed me to compile Gimp 2.3.14 but it basically broke several other parts of the Ubuntu distribution. HAL won't run. Nautilus won't run. Until Ubuntu "catches up" wi
