You didn't say
what kind of system you have, but if it's Linux, you should have
ImageMagick.
IM includes a whole raft of useful utilities, but you probably
want convert
for this problem. Try "man convert" for details.
Hello I am trying to make a picture album for my family and as a result I
have a large number of picture files. I am wondering if there are any
scripts which can automatically take all of these files and create
a thumbnail for each one. Or is The GIMP the proper tool to be using for

I wrote a script-fu to make some basic white Arial bold text
on a black button. In the (text-layer (car (gimp-text-fontname
I set antialias to TRUE and my resulting image (font size 14)
is truely antialiased, actually too much. The letters 's' and
'e' and afew others no longer stay a solid white
