1 - I am not able to fix the frequency of the display, neither using
nvidia-settings nor throught System-settings->Dislplay. Every time a

But I read in another mailing list that the new version of xorg-server
has some (many?) bugs.

err, eth0: Failed to lookup hostname via DNS: Name or service not known
Even so, the IP is correctly assigned by the router.

Hi all
after upgrading KDE I cannot set the screen frequency. By default it is
set to 50 Hz, but it should be 54 Hz.
Every time I have to change it, but every time I start the PC the
frequency is always at 50 Hz.
This both as root and as user.
Any tip?
