I've just noticed that between 050526 & 050531 compression in /var/log changed from .bz2 to .gz & the .bz2 files are just sitting there. The only emerge I did during that interval which might have affected this is Debianutils , which is required for Sysklogd , my logger. Since Bzip2 does a t
