Hi,
I would like to start snort on two interfaces of one box. Is
this possible? Googling found me the option of starting different
snort processes but since snort isn't exactly memory friendly I
would seek a different approach.

Well a routine compilation of snort, croaked
based on removal of pg8 and only pg9 being
on the system. Note: I have little interest
in going back to PG8; I'll leave snort broken
until I figure out PG9.

Everything works fine, except the one thing :
When I launch acid to see the alerts, instead of signature message I see a
